Position: Licensed Insolvency Trustee, Sales

Location: Toronto, ON

Type: Permanent, Full-time

Position Summary:

Bromwich+Smith is currently seeking a Licensed Insolvency Trustee, Sales to join our Debtor Support team. The Trustee will provide timely, compassionate, and expert debt solution advice and services to individuals experiencing financial burden. The primary objective of the Trustee is to provide high level of service, expertise and professional advice to debtors and other stakeholders, and to further propagate the Bromwich+Smith ethic. The promotion of financial literacy and the empowerment of debtors is, of course, a major component of this objective, so the ability to communicate efficiently, effectively and compassionately through all mediums is paramount for this position.
This position will require some early evenings or weekend shifts (approximately every 6 weeks and subject to change) based on equitable team rotation.

Key Accountabilities include:

+    Meet with Clients and Restructuring Consultant to conduct assessment pursuant to legislation;

+    Verifies recommended solutions with Restructuring Consultant to sign off during the assessment process and sign off on the required documentation;

+    Review and direct Clients to sign off on select documentation;

+    Ensure legal and professional compliance checkpoints on all aspects of Insolvency Solutions.

+    Chair Meetings of Creditors and attend Trustee Council meetings as required.

+    Establish business relationships with new external partners that share Bromwich+Smith’s values in order to drive up incremental business for the firm.

Knowledge & Skills:

+      You hold a CIRP designation;

+      You are a Licensed Insolvency Trustee in good standing;

+      You are a qualified BIA Insolvency Counsellor;

+      You have five (5) or more years of consumer insolvency experience;

+      You are detail oriented and excel with defined Best Practices;

+      You are results driven with experience delivering excellent client-centric solutions;

+      You are self-directed and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;

+      You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
